Individual Artist Support Grant Award

I was fortunate enough to be awarded an Individual Artist Support Grant (Artist Project Track) in support of my ongoing bodies of work Homesickness Series, Portraits of Home and Greetings from Paradise! (Detroit, Michigan) and their display at the College of Southern Nevada in September 2023. The Individual Artist Support (IAS) program assists Illinois artists to realize a career goal, take advantage of a professional opportunity, or to produce and present an artistic project. This $4000 grant covered costs related to the preparation, framing and presentation of these bodies of work for their display in “Homesickness: On Longing and Loss” at CSN’s Artspace Gallery from September 28th through December 2nd.

I’d like to thank Illinois Governor JB Pritzker, Nora Daley, Joshua Davis-Ruperto and the Illinois Arts Council Agency for their support of artists and artist’s projects.
