Vermont Studio Center Residency (May 14th – June 9th, 2017)

I was fortunate enough to spend a month in residence in beautiful Johnson, VT at the Vermont Studio Center during the months of May and June, 2017. The residency provided a great studio space in the Barbara White building, great food and an inspirational community over 50 other talented writers and the experience was incredibly transformative for both my studio practice and for my ongoing Homesickness Series. Highlights were a lecture and studio visit with painter Sangram Majumdar, slide nights which gave me exposure to the incredible work of my colleagues, open studio nights and the great feedback and conversations they produced and the opportunity to be reintroduced to figure drawing and working from a live model.
