Land/Marks of Absence is a solo exhibition of selections from my ongoing bodies of work, Homesickness Series and Portraits of Home that will be on display in the Front Gallery at the Pump House Regional Arts Center from November 10th, 2021 until January 8th, 2022. More information about Land/Marks of Absence can be found here: https://www.thepumphouse.org/whitney-lea-sage-page/
As part of my exhibition, I was honored to be interviewed by Pump House’s Lauren Caskey to discuss the work on display, its origins and my process.
A brief disclaimer/correction, since this interview was recorded in the midst of my finals week chaos, I misspoke in this artist talk that Detroit lost over half of its residents in half a decade, when I meant to say half a century.
